Preliminary work has suggested a strong link between agricultural intensification, nitrogen fertilizer runoff, and cholera outbreaks in the Bay of Bengal - home to some of the poorest and most vulnerable populations in the world. This project seeks to clarify and the nature and timing of these linkages, with the hope of identifiying interventions that could reduce the disease burden among these vulnerable populations.
